It has been 10 days since I have last logged into Wordpress. 1,118 spam comments. Let me spell that out. One THOUSAND one hundred and eight-teen spam comments. How ridiculous. I have never come back to that many. Normally the number is more manageable, like 2. Thank god for the “Delete all Spam” button. The only downside to that many is if there really was a genuine comment in there, it was deleted. There was no way I was going to go through all those individually. I just cannot figure out why that many all of the sudden. I haven’t changed my spam plugins. Perhaps I need a better one. Any suggestions?
I use Askimet as a spam fighter and get very few. Right now I only have 3 spam and I don’t think I’ve ever had more than 50 at any given time. In any event I hope you’re able to figure it out. Spam is so annoying!
