I’ve always been interested in adult movies that focus more attention on the woman’s pleasure or when the woman is more in control. So much in adult films or in porn is the focus more on the man and his needs and the woman is just used for his pleasure. My Own Master from Good Vibrations sex toys, is directed by and stars Kimberly Kane. In this film Kimberly Kane takes control and fucks who and how she wants. My Own Master is independently produced and with independent films you always run the risk of watching something that was poorly shot. The last thing you want to be calculating in your head while watching any film is their budget. Quite honestly, if I hadn’t known this was an independent film, I would have never guessed it. The filming is superb and there are also a lot of different angles certain scenes are shot at. I hate adult films that are totally up close and focused only on the thrusting and you never see any else of the people. That does not make me hot. It’s so abstract when it’s that close up for me. While this film did have a few “up close and personal” moments, it wasn’t the entirety of the film and I could actually witness chemistry between Kimberly and her partners.
The one session that I thought was shot beautifully was the very beginning when Kimberly gets off all on her own. The lighting was great and the angles were great. And although I don’t condone smoking in any way, the cigarette smoke was a nice touch. I also enjoyed her girl time spent with Avy Scott. So much in adult film is lesbian sex designed for men. The women don’t really seem to be into it and are doing it more for an audience rather than doing it for themselves. Both girls in this film were genuinely into it and it seemed almost as if they forgot the camera was there and were just enjoying one another. This type of chemistry in adult films is rare. I also really liked the closeness and intimacy that was present in the session between Kimberly and Denis Marti.
The only section of this film I was not too thrilled about was the session between Kimberly and the sailors. Something about a woman being on her knees with two cocks in her face just does not strike me as the woman being in control. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s a submissive position in my eyes and therefore, my least favorite in the film. I also was not a huge fan of the anal sex between Kimberly and Denis, but that’s more of a personal preference for me. I’m not an anal sex fan when it comes to women on the receiving end. And I have a hard time stomaching something being inserted into the anus and then into the vagina. That makes me cringe.
Overall this film did not disappoint. Even with the two scenes that I would rather skip over, the film is worth the price, especially for those who like variety and like to mix things up.
